It is very interesting to see Sylvia Plath writing about these serious topics in what I would describe as the most matter of fact tone that she could. It’s almost comforting to hear a character’s perspective that in all her confusion is clearheaded in a way.

I don’t suppose this book ends with Marcus biting the curb?

The way that new plot points are introduced is amazing. A chapter will be about to end and right in that last sentence something is mentioned that peaks your curiosity just enough to go to the next page. Every few chapters she starts to hint at another story from her past that just implores you to read on.
