I wholeheartedly agree with Courtne who rated this book 1 star that this book's characters are written as if they are in an IAD book, and that just doesn't work with anything but paranormal romance. The tone needs to be different for books set in the real world. And, in my opinion, the story suffers with only the POV of the heroine.

And why, oh why, would you bring back one of the most annoying characters I have ever had the misfortune to read for book 2. Jess, the best friend of the heroine from book 1. I hated her in the first book, and here she is (the female version of Biff from Back to the Future) giving her best friend (the bride) noogies while saying "Who's the wedding coordinator!" (meaning herself) over and over. Unlikeable!

The only reason that I am finishing this book is because Kresley Cole wrote it. It is way too glib, with characters talking in ways that people just don't talk unless they have some sort of social disorder. Characters making decisions that don't fit with who they are supposed to be. Most of what annoys me I would be fine with in a paranormal romance because I'm already suspending some disbelief.

Can't get this to change to the Kindle edition like I'm reading. Anyway, if this was written by anyone other than one of my favorite authors it would be a DNF by now. I can't identify with the heroine, the hero is a complete ass, the plot is flimsy, the conflicts are ridiculous. I'm just rolling my eyes like crazy. Plus I have the same issues with this one as I did the first one. May not read #3 in the series
