Was afraid that the story was too close to home, but it is not - yet. Until now rather a story from good ol'times - and I can't help getting sentimental, thinking back, remembering the hubris, the excess, the posing... even fondly. Guess I am a sick puppy, having survived all the carnage, currently patiently waiting for the industry to die a bit every day.

Now it is getting personal. I still remember the week after these Bear Sterns funds went bust. I quietly deleted my CV on efinancialcareers and braced for impact, waited for the perfect storm to unfold. I think I must have been even of the same age as Martin then.
