This is one of my favourite songs by Against Me! - a catchy anthem, though my teenage years were so very much different, singing along the lyrics is a very blantant lie.
Chapter 2: I was a Teenage Anarchist
Do you remember
When you were young and you wanted to set the world on fire?

Oh, the chapter headings add up to a soundtrack! So, here we go: 1. Walking is still honest
Do you want to love and feel it?
You can look but you can't taste it.
You can reach but you'll never have it.
We are untouchable;
Untouchable is something to be.

Eh nich. Ich weiß natürlcih schon so ungefähr, was vorher passiert ist. Inzest, Blut und Beuschel, ein Riesendrama...

On another note: The equity story of a research report I am currently editing/supervising reads like finance erotica blurb: swelling revenues, copious supply, stimulating and invigourating news, LMAO.

Hit the 30% mark and still not accellerating. Wonder where the tradeoff could begin and the sh*t may hit the fan...

Now it is getting personal. I still remember the week after these Bear Sterns funds went bust. I quietly deleted my CV on efinancialcareers and braced for impact, waited for the perfect storm to unfold. I think I must have been even of the same age as Martin then.

Was afraid that the story was too close to home, but it is not - yet. Until now rather a story from good ol'times - and I can't help getting sentimental, thinking back, remembering the hubris, the excess, the posing... even fondly. Guess I am a sick puppy, having survived all the carnage, currently patiently waiting for the industry to die a bit every day.

Writing still yuck... and a lengthy tupping scene already that made me wonder about the explosiveness of a certain body part...

How come a firs person narration could be so ... impersonal ... clinical... when they're getting it on?

I still need to get used to the first person narration. Most of the time its ok, but sometimes the narrator is too close to stating facts, not beliefs - as he should do, which feels artificial.
