Back from vacation, managed to read Part One on the plane
Y'all, this first part was a history lesson & romance between the heroine's parents.
Heroine now stranded on an island with her mom & brother of who I'm pretty sure is going to be the hero.
Starting Part Two with the heroine 14yrs old and the hero, late twenties?, setting out to find his brother.
Parrot & panther watch: have met parrot, no panther yet
