OK I am going into this blind. Of course I have heard of the Miniseries, but I never saw it and only know it was a western. I am just now reading that the author wrote the movies "The Last Picture Show" and "Terms of Endearment" Both of which I was so so on. Here is hoping to an entertaining 28 hours.

Thanks emtee, I use to read straight up westerns so I am looking forward to this.
When i was overseas and books were rare i had this one on the bottom of my "To Read" pile, because i thought it was a Romance. It was an engrossing delight.
Thank you Heilo, It will be the book I listen to while I walk so it will take a while to finish it.
