It's wild that Steinbeck has created a really complicated and compelling character in Cathy, almost like she's so complex and tortured even he can't understand her, but every time she opens her mouth in the back half of the novel her dialogue is like "rahhhh I love being evil" lol

Yes I'm reading it again don't @ me. I'm not missing out on East of Eden Summer like I missed out on Lonesome Dove Summer ok!!!!
