Cute, but obviously written when gender relations were much different. I also hold that the author writes and has the characters speak in a 1950s dialect, which to me sort of warps the perception of the 1972 teenage girl. Now I can also admit that I am not a teenage girl in 1972, so I don't know if this is how teens spoke in the 70s and my idea that most were hippies or spoke in watered down hippie adjacent ways.
