I just noticed that I've received no email notifications for any reason from Goodreads in the last 48 hours.

They've also changed notifications on reviews so that you can no longer follow activities on a review unless you make a comment on it.

I take it back. I've gotten the daily friends' activities digest emails the last two days. There isn't very much in them anymore and they include activities for only a very few friends/those I follow but I've received them. I have gotten no emails notifying me of people liking my reviews or for comments on any of the many reviews I'm following.
Oh, look at this. I think they messed up some things when they made this change:https://help.goodreads.com/s/announce...
Same for me. Last 48 hours too.
Same here for the most part. I have just seen a comment by chance dated two days ago. Some notifications I receive. 25 % maybe.
K, E, and M, I usually report these bugs to GR but I didn't with this one. I've kind of given up on them but I'm hoping they know about this one and can & will fix it. I'm receiving NO notifications for comments or likes. I'm getting some other GR emails.
Thanks for that update in post 3, Lisa. Yesterday I made a status asking others about this, but I'm not sure many have seen it. It's bizarre to me that you're only the second person I've seen mention it (and the other person only made an offhand comment about it in a review). Either this isn't a widespread problem or it is and people aren't noticing. Going by how long it takes most members to notice bugs (why? I always notice the day of), I suspect it's the latter. :/

I've been doing this automatically for years now since I never know when the non-notification bug (an old friend) is going to pop up.

Caroline, I agree about the unHelp section. Maybe it's worth checking for the known issues list but that is it. I like an awful lot of reviews. There is no way I can go back to every single one on which I've made a comment, especially since new comments sometimes appear many years after the last comment. Since I'm not getting email notifications of likes, even though I'm getting at least some online notifications, it's also hard to go to all of those, but I will try.
I'll got to your page to read your status update.

That's true. I don't comment on many, so I can do it, but if you're more active than I am it's too much work. I wonder when this bug will be fixed. I think we're on day four now. :[
Apparently it's not a bug: If you go to "Account settings" and click the tab "Account & notifications" you can see that the option to be notified via email is gone; it's notifications on the bell here only. I assume this is to manipulate members into regularly logging in. This started a few years ago when they stopped letting us read PMs in email, only notifying us that we'd received a PM. >:[
Thanks Caroline for pointing out this about the email option. This is awful.
Asking for email notifications is there for a few types of activities but not for many and not for the ones I most care about. People commenting on reviews is not there and there is no online at the bell notification for those either. This is crazy!
I don't think they're trying to get us to sign in. I think that (either deliberately or accidentally) they're diminishing the value and usability of the site to the point where people will end up signing in less that they did before this change.
I'm not happy. I am glad that you noticed this and glad that I didn't report the issue to Goodreads.
