I saw a comment saying that the manhua made Lian Jue less awful, and it's true 💀. I don't hate him for not treating Shen Tingwei better at first, but he is more of an asshole here.
I think it was due to cn censorship, he is actually mean during sex 😭. The novel is more emotional and feels less fluffy overall, it makes MC's situation look as frightening as it really is. Loving it so far.

I freaking love it when a gong loses his sh*t and starts breaking everything in his path because he wants MC back and safe, the pain and desperation gets me everytime.

Shen Tingwei and Tongtong's relationship is so adorable 😭, reminds me of Ning Yu and Momo from Old Injury. I live for MCs parenting a kid that isn't biologically theirs but end up becoming their children. I wish this was more common in novels.
