anne rice really loves to write a bunch of words, huh?

it’s so funny coming back to this after my iwtv mania during the summer and not remembering what’s happening, just knowing that when there was a lot of love for this in my heart, i highlighted so many quotes and made soooo many notes.

i can’t lie, this series has some fascinating lore.

there's so much happening and yet sometimes the descriptions really run away from the plot and it gets boring. idk, i have such a love/hate relationship with this series...but I'm enjoying all the time i get to read about armand :D he's quite insufferable, yet i just imagine it as assad zaman's armand and immediately am eager for more

during the whole prologue there's just this sense of "why is peepaaw talking like that?".
