I'M FREE! not that this was the worst experience of my fucking life, but also, i think i averaged like 4 hours of reading for every 60 ish pages which is just exhausting. and we've been reading ONLY this for my spanish class for 2 and a half weeks now (and it's not over, because we're reading some of book 2 also). like, glad i got to read some of this, however i'm tired. and it all feels the same.

the author in the second to last chapter: hold on can i take a second away from these battles and adventures and tell you guys to watch yourselves or you'll go to hell? ... okay proceed
also i am one chapter away from finishing the first book. which i THINK is what this entry is on goodreads. but it's possible it's only part of it.... who's to say! either way this damn book feels NEVERENDING. i'm so tiredddd

this book is
a. so fucking long and i am having to speedread so many chapters bc of my class schedule
b. destroying my ability to speak grammatically normal modern spanish because what is "cuando lo vio fue contra él"
c. really funny because i just keep envisioning oriana sabatini when they mention oriana so now because of that i am also envisioning amadís as looking like paulo dybala
