will with her friends is tender and generous. that’s him in the next bk. i wanted more of that early this bk. he’s in there but it is saved for close to the end

we do get closure ad resolution on her old job and the memo.
and the deserved questioning of motives and the seriousness of commitment. Real fine grovelling. heartfelt. i was wooed here.

But....it is a step in the direction to Raman's Love List and that is worth a boost.

That being said, love Will and Rhett. And Jas too.

My only complaint is the dynamics being rushed and heavy. Saturated and too quicky.

But pts for character struggle and many instances of wise qts and life lessons. Jas has a few herself. Courage, honesty, and fear.

The other rushed detail is the romance. These two just get fired up for each other immediately. Hey that's not even a problem but the leap to love and other strong feelings that I wanted to cap and slow down

Feelings are felt. Distance is minded. Restraint is frayed. And sadness rejection and humiliation salts our loves mutual heartbreaks. Amidst this is the patching up of our bros. This worked nice enough. Not bk 2 level but decently emo.

The real damper on this is the forced Rhett and Jas bond. She did something risky and inconsiderate at his expense. Tbh I was pissed. But he's happy cuz it's her that did it

Rhett and Jas. I love him. But he's not yet the same person. Yes their bonding is cute and heartwarming but it's premature. A good chunk of the plot is allocated to this. There is lot of heavy pushing here. Second plot is Will thinking they're a couple or should despite his hookup with Jas days prior. And adding more torture which I liked was Caroline. His on and off again ex. Who he brings back as almost buffer.

The painting is a done before she meets Will. But they meet and it's promising. But greater than that is that Will need someone to watch my fav Benett bro Rhett ( bk #2 baby!!!) My fav is on temporary release from rehab for the party. It's been 3 months since Will tricked him into rehab. He offers Jas a job and $$$$

Her art is where Will comes in. Mr. Hot billionaire is the a major production house CEO. Yes it's nepotism his parent built the company. Sort of. We learn Will is the reason for elevated success tho. It's his parents anniversary and there is a mural. At the beginning pre firing Jasmin gets news she's been awarded the contract. But she's not sure about taking it. Hasn't painted in years. Post firing it's a lifeline.

She gets fired. Brutally. Her boss says she made a huge mistake on memo that cost the company $100,00. But he refuses to share the memo. And is obviously sus.

Anyway she's just very unmoored. She put everything into this job. Sacrificed every relationship. Her art. She is practical. That's her big role. Her parents are way more chill than she is.

Even before the firing, they were encouraging to follow her art.
