I read this at least 2 times as a teen, and I have managed to convince JP to let this be our current family read.

This was my favorite one of the series as a kid, and I owned it and reread it several times.

I have read A Swiftly Tilting Planet more times than I can count and almost tried to start that, but I think he will like this one more. (He lost interest halfway through A Wrinkle in Time, which crushed me). Many Waters is a little…mature….but I am rolling with it. JP has this puritan/prudish streak about him that needs some gentle exposure therapy.
Ahhh, there are things in here that *I forgot about* and while I am not sanitizing the book by any means, I have done some on the fly censoring/skipping because some of it is too much for my very prudish 12 yo. LOL(When I was 12, I would have put my chin on my hands and said “Tell me more!” but this kiddo is not me at 12.)
I vaguely remember some of it, but I’d probably be surprised if I read it again now too. It’s smart to ease him into it.
