I’m fascinated by how Sumpter is applying Stephen Wolfram’s hypothesis that all processes could be classified within four categories: stable, periodic, chaotic or complex. So far it’s intriguing, not only because he is applying an algorithmic model derived by a theoretical physicist who intended to use it to improve scientific inquiry, but because he is applying it in a psycho-socio-cognitive context.

Cat To clarify, he is applying it to the way we think all the time and not a specific modality of thinking. (I am probably too tired to be commenting coherently.) Oh, and per FCC regulations I received a free copy of this book.
