I feel like I’ve finally made it as a teacher. A student, unasked, brought me HIS favorite book and told me I should read it because he thought I’d like it. Another student saw and started gushing about how much she loved it when they read it in middle school. And not only is the setting local, it was written by a graduate of the high school at which I teach! Vvv excited
