This was a very fast entertaining read last night before bed, quite different than other books I’ve been reading lately though still nonfiction. Relaxed in bed with both Stitch & Buzz after driving back to Decatur on my own yesterday afternoon. Missing Michigan yet feeling really good to be home especially with the windows open and the lovely breeze off the lake.

I enjoyed reading the rest of the supporting historical references included in this book this morning over my coffee here in our dining room overlooking Lake Decatur. Feels good to be home. I had never heard of this woman & learned a lot through this entertaining book about her & the history of how birth control came to be. Another awakening for me around women’s rights I’m glad I made time for on sabbatical.

Finished reading all the cartoon portion of the book this morning. There’s a lot of supporting material I plan to read. This was a very interesting read for me. I did not know that much about the history of birth control - it was insightful to learn more about the female pioneer who was courageous enough to dedicate her life toward fighting for this.
