Does anyone know what “the boot” and “the quilt” are when with Doyler? It seems they are people? I might have missed something in my reading, but I was suddenly very confused at the beginning of Ch 17. Anyway, still really enjoying it despite my stunted vocabulary (Irish and otherwise).

It’s taking me time to get thru it. It’s a bit of work, honestly, but it’s really worth it for the story it’s telling.

Ok, it’s cooking now… just took some getting into, but I’m enjoying it now.
