I mean, yes, it is heartbreaking but at the same time it is deeply disturbing.

"A PersoCom with the appearance of a fifteen or sixteen year old girl."

Oh ja, I had forgotten about this creep factor... Oh man.

"These Persocoms... Why are they made to look like people?"

EXACTLY! It makes no sense.... Or is this a conspiracy?

Ah I know what I'm missing. Women would also be more interested in PersoComs right? Because I know that there are lots of articles that say: 'Women are having less babies', as if men don't have anything to do with that.
But women are also staying alone a lot more than before because they don't want to do it all. It's easier to do it alone than with someone who isn't there to share the load.

What about a PersoCom?

(continu from an earlier comment) I think it is a bit logical that this kind of story was created in Japan. The fact that women created this, is a bit unexpected to me. But maybe not?

Yes, a book club could dig in deep here.

This series is something I would recommend for a book club? Because there are some cultural things at play here. We have 'shut-ins' in my country but it is only very recently acknowledged that it is a problem while in Japan you could read about those people 10 years ago in manga. Same with men who cannot connect with human women. We have those but we are culturally less aware of them.

"If Hideki cannot love you simply and only for who you are then he is not the someone just for you."

OH this story works very well as a metaphor for asexuality? I think. It does right? Ugh I have to see how it ends because I it ends the way I think, well I'm scolding Past-Me for being a horny twat.

I'm so uneasy while reading this. Difficult to understand why exactly that is. I'm not enjoying myself though.

Just what did I like about this series?
