I've realized that memoirs aren't really for me because I tend to be too critical of what the author considers acceptable to share. A lot of what’s discussed feels repetitive, like things I've heard before. I wish the author focused more on their personal experiences with mental health rather than constantly referencing other books, which makes it feel more like an essay than a memoir
