Also looking into the author she’s also some flavor of lgbt, so it could be worse, but the way the trans man character is written gives me the ick. There’s this huge focus on his chest dysphoria…like it’s the only thing that’s brought up and it’s brought up excessively. Him being disemboweled and recreated is a whole plot point at that point why didn’t you just give him fantasy top surgery? Like dude.

I feel like I’m reading faster to just get it over with. There is enough interesting stuff that I just want to know how it finishes, but it just feels like a gorey fever dream.

I do not think this is actually the case, but he is one of those characters that reads like the author read like a Wikipedia on trans men and went wow I know how to write this. The I C K.
