Finished this evening after dinner - the last several chapters were so riveting I could not put it down. Excited to see he has a lot more novels - I’m going to have to check them out, especially the ones about the main FBI character Mark Beamon. Really loved his perseverance.

Almost done - just at the start of Chapter 62 after reading over dinner. An unexpected twist in the last chapter definitely took me by surprise.

Had a lovely afternoon walk with Larry to the edge of our neighborhood and back before continuing to read more. Definitely agree with one of the reviews that speaks to the “staccato-paced race to the wire.” I’m hoping there is at least a partial happy ending with justice served on a silver platter to the true criminal that deserves it in this thriller. At Chapter 58 almost to the end.

The story is quite a page turner and I read more over my breakfast and tea, up to Chapter 45 now. It is going to be hard to not race through the rest and finish in the next few days. We are relaxing here in Decatur - it’s Larry’s prep day of a clear liquid diet for his procedure tomorrow at 630 am.

I read a lot before bed last night with Stitch snuggled up on me and made it to Chapter 41. I like the fast pace of this fiction novel.

Enjoyed a short reading break this afternoon sitting in the rocker listening to the loud wind outside here on Lake Decatur. This is an intriguing mystery that I’m really enjoying reading purely for fun. Will launch into Chapter 31 the next time I pick this up. Feeling sleepy after waking up so early today (about 430 am) and not being able to fall back asleep.

We had a wonderful time kayaking this afternoon on Lake Shelbyville with Wayne. Now we are home and will have dinner soon. I relaxed and read through end of Chapter 27…with some ice on my arm for a bit. It’s sore from my 2 vaccines.

I read a lot yesterday evening at home in our living room on Lake Decatur and made it to Chapter 23. Relaxing after getting my flu and COVID-19 vaccines late this afternoon.

Read a bit this morning enjoying being on my chaise lounge chair and sipping my chocolate raspberry Fortino’s coffee here at 36 ORD with Larry. Great mystery and fun read so far.

Evening reading at home got me to the start of Chapter 11. Had a super day together and saw the Aurora Borealis a bit this evening. Life is grand.
