Also the erectile dysfunction line remains the best line in the entire series...especially after the coffin scene😏

Is that why, as ghosts, Hua Cheng and Qi Rong are always fighting each other? Because while alive, QR almost beat HC to death while he was just a CHILD??? Also I think that the reason why young Hua Cheng won't uncover his face is because this is when he lost his eye. As a ghost, he claims he gouged it out himself, but I bet it has something to do with this incident/something that happened during this time.

This quote is everything to me. He was basically saying that no matter if you make the right or wrong choice, or have no idea what the right or wrong choice is, whether you're a good person or a bad person...you are always worth SOMETHING to SOMEONE in the world.

That chapter was very heavy. So much emotion and backstory and gore and death and revenge and heartache and guilt and despair all packed in. It's good to know that Xie Lian isn't a crazy murderer, but I feel so bad for him, still blaming himself for those murders and drowning in the question of "what if I could've done something different..." I think Hua Cheng feels bad now for forcing the whole story to come out.

"Xie Lian gazed over and saw a figure clad in green strut into the cave. Due to reasons not worth mentioning, Xie Lian couldn't help but look at the top of his head first, and he was actually kind of disappointed to see that the figure only had a mask on and no light above his head." I was disappointed too Xie Lian😭 Since Qi Rong's little ghost servants all have cute little green lights on their heads.

YESSS it's time for a little mischief. Some scare tactics. The gods barged into Ghost City and burned Hua Cheng's house, so why shouldn't he in turn barge right into Heaven and cause some trouble?

WHAT IS HAPPENING. Xie Lian is just the sweetest little bean who cares about literally everybody...but now we're finding out he single handedly conducted a royal massacre for the sake of revenge??? And the Emperor of Heaven is still defending him??? There is something up here and I'm going to get to the bottom of it.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THE GODS BURNED DOWN HUA CHENG'S WHOLE ARMORY AND ALL THOSE BEAUTIFUL WEAPONS😭 AND OVER HALF OF PARADISE MANOR TOO!!! I find it very hard to believe that he can forgive even Xie Lian for that...

I think I'll take the half decayed ghosts over the giant earthworms, thank you very much. Also Hua Cheng's Paradise Manor is starting to remind me of Kibutsuji's Infinity Palace in Demon Slayer. Lesson learned: Demons and ghosts get really cool, magical places to live.
