Does the book state this is a made up town? The audio doesn't.

There is literally NO city at the top, northernmost point of Western Australia. Its deserted. There is certainly no 'Centre of Excellence for trauma care' because, THERE'S NO F'CKIN PEOPLE THERE!!!

If you're gonna make up a town, put it somewhere believable not the equivalent of the northernmost point in Alaska!

And it goes on. If you set a book in Australia, I don't care if you are a US author and think your market is the US (clue: folks from other places will likely read it) use the correct conventions. We are a METRIC country. No one here says the temperature "must be nearly 100 today"!

And its the upper northwest. That's a fairly usual temperature during the wet season where the average temperature is 90F anyway.

and there's not a lake. And if there was a lake it'd likely have crocs so you might not be swimming in it!
