What a lame "plot twist" ath the exact halfway point of the book. And the love interest is only being revealed now and 2 chapters in, him and MC are being characterized horribly. What the fuck???

This book is about as subtle as a brick to the face so far.

This feels like it's going to be a tough read. Almost want to DNF it, but I will persevere.
