I love the glimpses of how Steinbeck views towns and overall communities of people. He paints a better picture in my mind of what an ideal community looks like and prompts me to spot out areas where I can play a part that ‘ideal’ community.
-When Kino imagines all the pearl can do for he and his family, I hope I’m never one to pressure another to ‘cut their light away’ in their dreams like he was pressured.
