I think this was too long, but I also understand why it was and it did work in the end. I didn't plan to read the whole thing before sleep, but the anxiety levels this story caused me made me to finish it. This story might be futuristic, but it also describes the real situation of too many teens and it just broke my heart.

A linguistic-technology story that raises quite interesting and ethical questions + shows how raising kids would look like in queer Indigenous feminist collective. I just wanted it to be longer!

A Lodge Within Her Mind 3,5⭐
This is a pandemic story, I thought it was good, but also not fully satisfying. I guess I wanted to know more about the company and just what was the whole experiment about.

Really liked this one!

My heart hitched again in my chest. I swear, I'd have done anything to keep her looking at me like that, even if part of me did feel like she was thinking about eating me up. Maybe especially because of that.

Dirty Wings
Not rating this one for complex reasons. It wasn't an enjoyable read since it was largely escaping my understanding, but that was very much one of the author's point. I also appreciated that she explained some of the allusions in the explanatory note that came after the story.

A great story about Métis superhero and his community.

The interim priest, Bourassa, seemed to watch her constantly, she who never wore dresses she who lived alone when the rest of his flock gathered together; she who, so the rumours went, could transform into a black mare.

Finished Buffalo Bird overall good time, but thanks to having several short-stories close to this one, I noticed the writing style more than I would usually... It's just a bit plain to be honest. Also wasn't fan of the complicated structure, but overall liked it!

How many introductions is there going to be? I think I just hit the third one 😂
