I love the Villains series as you get an alternative pov for why the villains act the way they do. Poor Facilier!

I love the nuances Rochon includes of the local New Orleans culture. She truly describes our city in a way that anyone from anywhere can realize the magic New Orleans possesses. I also appreciate the way she pays homage to the original characters. I can hear their voices so distinctly. But, of course, I like the darker side of her version of the story.
