Tao Po! Tao Po!. Super interesting start. The overview function of this as an intro, I appreciate, but I think there could have been a way to execute without making it jump around topics so eclectically? I am in awe of the author background and tenacity. She went through such a hard life, definitely the kind of person that I’d love to read about because their personal experiences were challenges overcame

O, Thiefmas Tree/ O, Thiefmas Tree. Best story in the book so far. Full of heart in the sincere way, humorous in that Pinoy self-deprecating way, set during a Filipino Christmas and features most of the cast built up in the earlier parts of the book

Lumabong Pagtingin. Grabe…I was hoping for a nice ending or even fast-forward to Mama Rosa’s future. But this story could only end like this:
“Si Mama Rosa ang ehemplo kung bakit pinaaalalahanan ang mga babae na huwag tumigil sa pagtratrabaho kapag nag-asawa at nagkaanaak. Makakalaban lang kasi ang babae kapag hindi nawalan ng kakayahang kumita.”
