Man when I read heart of darkness in high school I truly did not understand it but I have the same opinion then as now: boring white nonsense

Anybody assigning students to read Heart of Darkness should also assign this book

(This is all about Congo, first the River then the territory, then I’m *assuming* it will get to the Revolution

Wow this is excellent. The writing is great, the character work! Beautiful. Really fascinating, really horrifying.
