I don’t think I’m going to make it through the rest of this audiobook. I’m rather surprised that I’m not hooked on a novel about gay Scottish witches read in a lovely accent. If I had to pinpoint what’s giving me pause, it would be that this is the type of feminism I actually find disempowering. The only personality these women are given is in the context of their trauma and oppression.
