Such an eerie feeling about this last(?) story it‘s giving me the creeps but in a delightful way — never expected this to be a so gothic(!): a dark forest, strange occurences, a looming somebody.

The postering job was such a thriller! It’s really the darkest story so far. Didn‘t expect it but enjoyed it immensely. Also, the dry humour really comes to shine in this one. I‘m very thankful to the translators for preserving this. The protagonist‘s inner monologue had me laughing out loud!

It‘s such an interesting tale - once you‘re good at your job, things become complicated as your creation leaves your circle of influence, but not having any ambition is just as impossible.

I don‘t even like rice crackers but I sure want them now!

Ah everything reminds me of our time in Tokyo. Especially women in the workplace. Reserved and tidy, exactly like I‘ve encountered them. Keeping personal information tight and calling each other by the last name only. Ms Eriguchi has super powers.
