today when I was reading my book called Kindred not a lot is really happening right now we finally learned that Rufus which is the plantation owners son likes a black person. Which is really bad because of the time period that they are in it is illegal for whites to marry blacks. And if anyone finds out about this the slave Rufus likes will most likely be killed.

today when I was reading nothing really happens except Dana which is the main character got beat really bad by the headmaster. she got beat because she knew how to red and was teaching all of the other saves how to read. and I made an Ah-Ha moment because I realized the headmaster doesn't want his slaves to know how to read because then they will be more educated then him since he doesn't know how to read or write.

today when i was reading i had an a-ha moment because i finally realized and fully understood everything that was happening in the book. Also Danas husband somehow joined her in the past. Also the year they are in is 1776. And the spain controlled everything west of the mississippi. which is where california is so people were confused when dana said she was from california.

today when I was reading it finally made more sense to me about what was happening in the book. So far she gets teleported to another time period which i in the 1800's and she is a black woman so in this time she has to really be cautious about where she goes and what she does because of the slave masters and patrollers. I also have a prediction that something bad is going to happen to her here soon.

I just started in this book today and I am extremely confused on what is happening. All I know is that this girl got like teleported to another time in history and she is black so she is a slave because it is in the 1800 that she got teleported to.
