The story is wrapping up to be a truly interesting story...involving the Romulans (on a joint mission, with the Federation).

Also, a number of other threads from the previous books are being explored...and I'm enjoying the progress being made.

This is a slow burn. The story is intriguing, the characters are playing their parts, but not a lot is actually going on.

We are playing chess, with a SLOW clock. Pieces are being moved, but not real action is taking place. This cannot be sustainable. Truly. Get on with it.

I have finally found the groove in this story. Poor Captain Benjamin Sisko and Kasidy/Rebecca. Still hate what Andor has done. The political struggles of the UFP is interesting, in counter to the Typhon Pact. Also, those within Section 31.

It is good to be back with Captain Sisko, but he's not the same as he used to be (unfortunately).

Also, the Vulcan/Romulan reunification is not going too well, and Spock is seeing things turn south.

I'm drawn in.
