this story i think had substance to it that i can vaguely understand (and still like a lot), but it ended so abruptly and had so many strange lines. i do enjoy the parallels to her mother and first boyfriend, i think there’s a message to confusing prejudice with trauma? maybe? i think there’s something deeper here than class and identity. but this was too vague for me to completely get it.
