This was a lot better than her first novel. Still a bunch of racism, but it was less prominent, more community based, and at times challenged by the main character. The mystery was good, I never knew 100% which suspect was responsible. And I like how the ladies took back control by trying to figure it out, and by embracing their rage. I actually think the trauma responses were toned down alot. Though everyone's diff.

The reactions from outsiders was interesting. Though I expected more criticism, and less racism. The boyfriends really irked me though. Why try to force yourself on someone when there's a serial grapist on the loose? And what psychologist accidentally triggers a panic attack in a victim and thinks to solve it by being shmexual with them? These boyfriends really rubbed me the wrong way. So much I thought him guilty.
