The James Howe story was not my favorite. Too many perspective shifts without unique voices for each character.

Man that Alex Sanchez story hit me right in the heart. Soooo 90s queer experience. All the slurs being thrown around like confetti. I almost want it to be studied by kids so they know what it was really like. But I partially wonder if all the slurs are why this book got discarded from the school library.
