Bavinck seeks to put the “uni” back in university by way of historical, theological, and methodological assessment of the sciences as he saw them. He takes on unbelieving science and the influence of positivism (which actually worked to undermine the scientific endeavor). There is no “presupposition-less science” according to Bavinck.
