Soooo it's G.P. aaaah I see you Gideon Pyrrha (aka Ortus the Ninth). And I also only realized the second time reading that the apostrophe of "...the emperor's murder" allows for ambivalence. I loved seeing Camilla again, and Palamedes. "I'm sorry" [that you became a Lyctor], he says. Also, Nav as a poster boy for BOE? There was no rock to be rolled away in the first place?

Finally, we get some clues on what went down after Canaan house. I‘m happy to see these are suggesting that the events of Gideon were real after all. Which of my many theories will fit? I will say, up to this point the book is comparatively low on action. We spent most of the time in the Mithraeum and in alternate realities. It will be interesting to see if it picks up in the last third. Time to unpack!
