I have a tendency to leave books behind and then pick them up almost as soon as I forgot what it was about. This was not one that I could easily forget. Herein lies one of the important lessons of this book: "ṣumūd" is a Palestinian term for 'steadfastness'. It is this perseverance that serves as the linchpin for the trinity of fundamentals.
