ALSO: there should definitely be content warnings with this book. Basically every way that a woman can be abused and a man can be abusive is explicitly described through 3 different timelines. I can’t say I was particularly prepared for the exhaustive & graphic assault scenes; was definitely hoping for more witchy cottage core riff raff. And maybe a story that isn’t super depressing. Stay tuned for the last 8%, but think I’ll need a palate cleanser either way.
