Peter Daniels received his degree from the University of Chicago and spent quite a few years at the Oriental Institute, including editing for the Chicago Assyrian Dictionary and other OI publications. He is still an active scholar, although independent(no academic affiliation) and he is active on the ANE-2 list (through Yahoo Groups). Enjoy!
