This is not a good book, but I got about a quarter of the way through it on a road trip with younger daughter, and this was the audiobook she picked to pass the time, and now I feel compelled to finish it.

So far, it's not the worst YA romantasy I've ever read, I think? But I will say that the parts I enjoy best are when other characters insult Mare for absolutely no real reason.
