With the proliferation of AI, I think there needs to be a fifth paradigm. No longer is the artist a producer, which Deresiewicz describes as "free particles in the marketplace, finding what work we can for what money we can, and exposed without protection to the market's whims." I think artists are nurturing AI to take over the producer role, leaving artists with a new role that has not been defined yet.
