An amazing book for teens. It manages to keep our interest while we go through the lives of various children and their families navigating through/ resisting the Nazi occupation in Thessaloniki. By managing to not only portray the various social groups in the town during that period but also the inner world of the protagonists, the book is a window in that historical era. A different depiction of childhood.
