Just about to start “The Assassin and the Empire” . While I still feel this is a little juvenile - the story is getting much better. I’m also reading this as a 30 year old 😂 It’s giving really good insight into why Celaena is the way she is and the backstory to her relationships to Sam and Arobynn (if like me, you started with Throne of Glass)

Eh. Undecided if this is worth reading. So far it’s written very YA. Maybe this would appeal to 14-17 year olds? - the main series is far better in my opinion. I’m glad to get more insight into Celaena’s past but at this time I don’t feel this is an essential part of the TOG series.
