Fizzy is very interested in cooking and wants to be a cook when she gets older but now I think she wants friends. In the book she says”Nobody in Lush Valley seemed to need new friends”pg.1 and i think she is sad that she had to move schools and wants her old friends back. In the text she said she tried to stay connected with all her friends but they were busy.

Fizzy is happy that her mom is seeing her side of things. I also think Fizzy is getting closer with keene. In the text the author writes “This is the best lasagna I've ever tasted, Keene said that night at dinner. Fizzy made it, mom said proudly. unbelievable, Keene said.”Page 93. I think this shows that fizzy is going to start liking Keene.

In the book Fizzy is talking with her mom and had a realization that Fizzy feels like she is like “leftovers”. In the book the author writes " And if mom was starting fresh, then that means I'm leftovers, doesn't it? Yes, I was a leftover from her previous attempt and marriage and a family.” page. 88 This shows that Fizzy is realizing that her mom wants to start new.

Bonus: FIzzy is not really happy with the fact that her mom is getting remarried. In the text the author States " there's nothing you or anyone else could ever do that would make me love you any less.” I think that busy is scared that her mom was love her new husband more than she loves fizzy.

Fizzy is not very happy that he’s ( keene ) is at dinner and she’s treating him rudely. In the text the author writes “Keene lifted the platter of meat life and held it for me. “Help yourself, Fizzy.” I shook my head. “Guests are always first.” Keene gave my mom an angry look and said too loudly, “I am not a guest. I am a member of this family!” pg. 50 I think Fizzy was just trying to be polite.

Fizzy is starting to like her step mom and is getting closer with her. In the text the author states “Suzanne smiled. “You didn’t like me either and I'm not so bad, am I?” pg.47 and fizzy is starting to open up to Suzanne and I think they are going to get very close later on in the book. Fizzy is telling Suzanne that she doesn't like her moms fiance and shes only told people she likes and is close with.

In my book fizzy is feeling a lot of emotions and she doesn't know why. In the text she says “ Then and now. I missed my dad, my old house, my old neighborhood, my old friends , my old school - everything. That's when the sickness came.” page 16. I think she is feeling homesick and has not adjusted to her new home yet.
