Although this book is not perfect--it can lean towards prescription, especially in its religious themes--I think it can be helpful and open readers up to new ideas, consideration, and self-reflection. It can be applied to all relationships, not just those with your parents, but there is truth to the idea that the effects from parent-child relationships are the most lasting and pervasive.
