On page 92 Francis is surprised. Francis and Nate were going sledding with a Teddy. They were going to meet Teddy at the park. Francis got really surprised when Teddy got a snow tube. "Francis's eyes widen as he looked behind me." This proves Francis was surprised because his eyes widened.

On page 134-135, Nate is unselfish. In this part Nolan throws Chad's pillow. So then Nate jumps on the table and catches the pillow. After he falls off the table and breaks his wrist. In this Nate said "I can catch it......if I can get up high enough." This proves Nate is unselfish because he helped Chad get his pillow.

On page 93, Nate's character motivation is to ride the snow tube. In this part Teddy,Francis, and Nate are at Cluffy's cliff to go sledding but Teddy brings an awesome snow tube. In this part Nate said " After going on a couple rounds himself Teddy lets Francis and me have a turn." This proves that Nate wants to ride the snow tube

On page 68, Nate faces an external conflict. When Nate goes to change into his beach clothes this kid Randy takes his clothes and he is stuck in the boy's bathroom. In this part Nate said "He disappears, and all my clothes go with him." In this part this proves that Nate is facing an external problem because all of his clothes got taken away an he is in a public school.

On page Dee Dee is panicky. When Nate, Teddy, and Francis are walking home she is yelling and sprinting because Chad fell on his butt. She also she wanted to call an ambulance. In this part Dee Dee said "I'll call an ambulance this is an emergency !" This proves that Dee Dee panics a lot.
