Reading Crooked Plow by IV Junior is really making it clear how strange it is that GG Marquez never put overt class politics in his novels. The former shows there is no contradiction in a term like “magical socialist realism”. The books takes a while to get into it's class consciousness, but then I'm happy to say it stays there
